Emily Dickinson Museum

Amherst, USA

The Emily Dickinson Museum in Amherst, Massachusetts, comprises two adjacent properties: the Homestead, where Dickinson was born in 1830 and lived for most of her life, and The Evergreens, the Italianate villa next door occupied by her brother and sister-in-law. Together they preserve the domestic world of one of America's most extraordinary poets, who composed nearly 1,800 poems while rarely leaving these grounds.
